Project Manager - Tools and Equipment

Performs a variety of engineering assignments in the concept, planning, and design of products and Manufacturing processes. Verify product meets our internal standard and consumer needs. Works collaboratively to insure new products generate appropriate return and meet growth objectives. Under general supervision plans, conducts, assigns, and monitors assignments, including reviewing the progress and evaluating the results of assigned work. Possesses and applies knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization and function with some latitude for un-supervised action or decision. Searches for and promotes new ideas that might be applicable to the company’s products. Creates innovative designs in response to new product concepts and maintains technical capability for effectively achieving results. Evaluates designs and prototypes for performance and reliability. BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. A minimum of eight (8) years experience in developing new products. Pro Engineer CAD system expertise is critical for achieving desired results. Must convey a sense of urgency to keep projects on schedule. Must be able to interface smoothly with other departments to coordinate projects. Must have good organizational skills and be able to balance multiple priorities. Must be creative and able to regularly contribute innovative ideas and concepts. Ability to interface with multiple suppliers and manufacturers domestically and internationally for the transfer of product specifications.

Responsible for the effective management of the Sales and Operations Planning, demand management, production planning, master scheduling and capacity management processes reducing excess inventories, increase turns, avoid shortages, and improve company profits. BS/BA Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent. MRP Experience preferred. 2-3 years of experience using SAP/R3 desired Proficient software and PC skills, with a concentration in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access preferred. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Requires strong analytical with mathematical/statistical emphasis, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process. Able to work in a fast pace environment. Experience in analyzing data relating to product forecasting, master scheduling, asset management, or shipment forecasting.
