Shakespeare® Complete Spin Telescopic is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought this 3 weeks ago, as a second and it is just awful!!! the line constantly tangles under the reel and I could only use it once!!! my husband has an ugly stick which I love, and use constantly. This was definitely a waste of money....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ratio quality/cost in the market This combo became my favourite rod for small to medium size fishing, it is pretty much stronger than it looks to, and so easy to carry. Shakespeare is myfavourite for fishing, I dont belive expensive gear make you a better angler.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Used it once and the line always got tangled under the reel. Had to take the reel off to untangle the line and the click ratchet flew out with the ;line and could not be found. Cannot find the reel model CSPK 20 any place including Shakespeare to replace the gear. Guess I will have to throw the reel in the garbage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pice of junk Don't buy this it's junk got one for the wife and I and her first time sueing it and it snapped in two.  We fish all the time and wanted a rod to put in a back pack but looks like you can't get one of good quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke first time out. I bought two of these combos for my teenage sons.  One rod broke when an experienced adult tried to unsnag the line.  The other reel broke.  I would not recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well got what I ordered but was a bit displeased I ordered a 5 piece "Travelmate" 4.5' rod at $14.99 for my backpack to replace an old Alpha Ugly stick 5 piece 4.5' "Travelmate" that broke. I also ordered the Telescopic 4.5 Rod and Reel kit because I wanted just the Telesopic rod to use on my Kayak but the "Telescopic" Rod was not offered or specified on the "Travelmate" page. So I paid $19.99 for the kit, and the Reel will be tossed away since I use a better older Shakespear Reel then this one that came with the kit. Low and behold when my "5 Piece" 4.5' "Travelmate" rod showed up for $14.99 it was a "Telescopic" version just like in the kit NOT WHAT I WANTED! I'll keep both because it ain't worth the the time to return, but if your fricken web site gave a better description of your products, I could have ordered 2 "Telescopic" Rods at @$14.99 and saved 5 bucks and saves the planet from a disposed of Reel no one will ever use! Are the Rods good? For my intended use yeah as portable Rods for Kayaking and backpacking into backwoods rivers they're great and I'd recommend them, but I do have about 8 other Ugly Sticks of various sizes and 10 Hi quality Reels for other Fishing situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good for $20 Nice rod for a 10 yr old. Reel gets screwed up sometimes though, but I just have to mess with the line and it usually fixes itself.
