Some of the best rods I've ever owned
I own 10 of the "Micro Graphite" Spinning (previous model) and 2 of the "Micro Series" Spinning (current model) rods (all 7-foot versions) and they're some of the best rods I've ever owned. They're perfect for trout fishing. You can feel anything that goes for your bait.......great sensitivity. I like the length of the fore-grip and the shape and length of the rear grip. I like the reel seats, guides, everything. Not only do they have superb handling characteristics, but they're very affordable. You can buy many of these rods for what other higher-priced rods sell for. And, they're extremely durable. I just can't say enough about how much I love these rods.

Wonderful Ultralight Rod!
I'm impressed! My little 5 ft rod has exceeded my expectations...it'll launch lures as light as 1/32 oz and handle the occasional 4 lb bass or 4 lb catfish that decides to hit those little lures! I married my rod to a Shimano Sienna (size 500)...and it is a nice light rig.
It's also an attractive rod. The blank is not shiny (to prevent spooking fish) and the line guides are sleek and uncluttered.
I may purchase another rod from this series, should they discontinue the series. I have owned other Shakespeare spinning rods, but I believe they have improved the quality with this series.
My gratitude to Shakespeare for producing quality products that have enhanced my angling experiences!

Great Seriess
I've been using this series for 4 years now. I have the 4'6" ultra light and the 5'6" light rods and don't have much to complain about. I've caught countless amount of crappie, bluegill and white bass on the 4'6" ultra light. On the 5'6" I've caught many walleye including my PB, coming in at 7lbs and 29 inches long. The one thing I will say is, most places sell thelse rods with a combo. Don't waste your time with the reel that comes along with them. Just purchase the rods from here or you closest fishing supplier and put your favorite reel on afterwards

UL vs L is huge difference
Used the 7' UL and it was an incredibly effective noodle. With a 2000 reel w/10# braid and fluoro leader... excellent landing ratio. Landed big bass, crappie, catfish to 12 pounds... mostly crappie though... eventually broke it lifting 14" crappie into my boat. It was a 2 year old rod and out of warranty. Bought another and also got a 7' Light to try. The Light was much heavier in action but I like this one too. Will use both. Price is awesome and cork is good quality. Worth it.

Makes even 1-2 pound fish fun to fight again!
Nice little rod. I purchased the 5'6 model, and have had alot of fun with it. It has good sensitivity and is pretty tough. It cast well and actually has 7 eyes on it, which was surprising for the price. When catching larger trout or pan fish it has nice even pressure on the back bone because of the 7 eyelets. You really need to go buy this rod in person and check every inch over making sure there are no cracks or dings. When I was a kid, Shakespeare was a decent rod. Since then however, they have really come down on quality and consistency making Shakespeare rods a bit untrustworthy. Look your rod over before you buy it, test the tip and look for gashes and cracks. When you find a good one it's a winner. I've caught 100s of 2-3 pound trout on this guy and it's still going strong.

Good job! Great fishing rod!
My new 7' Light action fishing rod arrived in good condition and was shipped quick. I ordered this rod for fall Walleye fishing from shore. The fish are shallow now, 3-5' and most folks have put their boats away for the winter. This rod loads well for casting light weight stick baits and casts very easily. This is very relaxing fishing at it's best. The 7' length is great to reach past shoreline rocks and obstacles. Also, the wrap just above the handle is approximately 15' from the butt, convenient for measuring a legal walleye here, the next wrap is about 21' and the first eyelet is 30". Very handy indeed. I am very please overall with this fishing rod and the price can't be beat! I will definitely want the 7' UL for bluegill fishing next summer. I've included a photo of a nice fat 23" Walleye recently taken with this rod. Thanks so much for your good work and efforts and Good luck to you.

This rod has paid for itself
I have had the 6'6" light model for about 4 seasons and have caught hundreds of trout on it. The rod is nice and light and casts great.
I've won over $500 dollars at local trout derbies over the last 3 years, and have hauled in a 4 pound and an 11 pound rainbow trout with it. Not bad for a rod that cost me about $18 when I bought it.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy more of these rods in the future.

I really like this rod.
I bought 7' UL from Amazon, only costs me less than 17 dollars. It is very sensitive and very fun to catch small wild trout. It feels like you are catching a 2 pound-er.
