Very sturdy stand up rod for the money
I bought the TWSUAR50-130 5"6 I am very happy with my purchase it is extremely sturdy! I have it paired with a penn senator 9/0 with 600yards of 80lb power pro and 500yards of 50lb mono. This is going to be my beach fishing

Very well made
Bought a fighting rod with the roller bearings. Works great. I use it to king macral fish from a peir in sc. With a TLD25 on it I think I could land a good size fish. I like the Shakespeare tidewater product. Great product fiar price

Good Flathead rod!!!!!
I use the 7 foot boat road for big flathead catfish has very very good backbone and stainless steel eyelets which is perfect for flats and for the price they are perfect...

Nice Rod. Tip top fell off first time out!
I bought this rod (TWBT2040C70) for flathead fishing on the St. Joe river in Michigan. First time out I hooked one and noticed the tip top was turned 180 degrees. Needless to say it fell off, line broke and lost the fish. Quality looks very good. I was shocked that something like that happened. Since I bought it online (they don't sell saltwater gear in Michigan, salt free, shark free) I had no way of checking it out completely before I bought it. To bad I had high hopes for this.

I bought this rod reel combo in Oregon for salmon fishing did great landed a 42 lber and 6 or 7 others was so happy stored it for a few months broke it back out to go sea bass fishing the first fish of the day the handle snapped off I was able to get the fish into the boat about 5 lbs and as I was netting it the top broke off two eyelets down. Not a well made pole the walls are very thin maybe this was just a bad one my ugly stick works great but I will never buy this model again

Nice rod especially for the price
Just got this a couple weeks ago and have got to take it out a couple times. Works great for shore fishing. I haven't gotten the chance to reel in something huge but it's been taking out surf perch with ease. Great rod for the price sensitive and can cast quite a distance, I got the 12ft model

Well built.
As usual for Shakespeare, this is a quality product. The action is rated "medium", I would call it "medium heavy". I was really wanting a more limber surf rod.

Normally Like these rods
I had one of these rods and liked it enough to buy 3 more. I have only had it out 3 times in the past 3 months. Yesterday, when just pulling some line out to tie on a lure, the tip broke about 2" from the top and i wasn't even putting that much pressure on it. Glad this didn't happen when I had Mahi or tuna on. Will need to find another affordable rod like this. Disappointed to say the least.
