Why and how do I use the bait clicker? The bait clicker lets you know when a fish has taken your bait. When the clicker is on and the line is pulled out you hear the click, click sound — alerting you to a fish. Important note: The anti-reverse button must be in the off position and the bait clicker in the on position. There is a draw back to having the anti-reverse off. Your reel handle can turn freely forward and backward. This can cause nasty tangles in the line, so be aware.
