Product Reviews

Shakespeare® Disney® Moana Kit is rated 1.1 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from plastic screw I didn't realize the reel was held with a plastic screw. My daughter plays with this at home and the "minnow" came off and the line reeled in all the way. Went to fix it to find the screw. At first itt was just mushing the plastic, once I got the screw to actually turn, it doesn't actually unscrew. So I can't fix this and it was a waste.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reel I dont know if we just got a defective one, but I will be returning it for another. We can not thread the line. We can not even get the plastic screw to come off to take the reel head off to even get to the line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very frustrating I literally bought this not even an hour ago and my 3 year old casted the reel the line came out and I've spent 20+mins trying to get the reel apart. I wish I would have visited this page first before spending money on something that is useless when I could have bought her a better pole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Promising, Attractive look but Awful Design Didn't make it out of the store before the string got reel. Into the casing. Want too worried - just fix it at home - and then realized the reel cap doesn't come off! The infamous 'plastic screw' just spin in place until delicate efforts to remove obliterate the pliable cheap plastic. I was really excited about this product as my 2 year old daughter instantly gravitated toward the Moana character; pretty disappointed in such a poor set-up! Also set-up didn't come with the casting fish as other set-ups. Not included or maybe removed while on the rack?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk As soon as the line broke it was impossible to open the reel. Now my daughter has a fake fishing pole

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good entry level for young kids We bought two of these for our twins 7th birthday. Within 15 min our youanger twins were playing with them and on one had reeled in the line all the way with nothing on the end of the line. Like others have reviewed, there looked like a screw that held the cover on but it was just a pin and there was no way to open it. I wrote the company and they kindly replaced the one and sent along some extra goodies! This time, one of our 7 year olds opened it and attempted to tie on the little pretend fish that came along, but didn't tie a good knot and reeled it in all the way, just like before. This new rod has an actual screw that allows you to remove the cover and fix this issue as many times as your kids mess it up! We are happy now and can't wait to head to the lake with our four girls!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toral waste of money! It was good for one use and after the casting minnow is removed and your 3 year old daughter reels up all the line you can't open the reel up. Same thing happened to me as the review above me. Plastic screw turns to mush and then when you do get it to turn it just keeps turning. After that you have a very sad and unhappy 3 year old and useless fishing pole.
