Rated 1 out of 5 by jdpotts from Never got the reel to open! My daughter loved it, until the line went into reel. The screw turns to open the reel face, but never actually loosens. Sad to see your daughter on the side of the pond, watching her brother catching perch while her reel won't open. Sadly, a 20 cent upgrade in hardware would probably make this a fun little combo!

Rated 1 out of 5 by SBSN from So, there is no way of fixing this reel? I have two of them, my daughters nd sons that needs fixing. Maybe you should stop selling it if you won't show us how to fix the reel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HDClark02 from Great for beginners I bought this pole for my son and had an issues with the screw in the reel not coming out to be able to manually pull the line out once it feel down in the reel. Customer service promptly addressed my issue and sent me out a new pole. The new pole has a fully functioning screw, that does screw out to allow access to the line. My son loves this pole. We also love the fish that comes with it so he can practice casting with out worrying about hooking himself or someone else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by stahurab from I wanted to love it Just got this rod for my son yesterday and he was super excited to get to use it today only he didn’t get the chance. Like every other review the string went into the poll and we can not get the screw undone to fix it. I now have a super sad little boy who loves all things camo. (It seems silly to me that this hasn’t been fixed already with the amount of people having the same exact problem.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by Terry Hallowell from Could not use fishing pole from the start. We got this for the grandkids, and one worked where the other would not even allow us to get the reel out. The screw turns but absolutely nothing happens. Now we have to find an alternative for our grandson because his sister's works and his does not. The afternoon ended with one disappointed grandson. Seems like this is a recurring issue that definitely needs to get resolved.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MO Fish from Never got to use it I bought this for my son to use on a trip to Echo Bluff. Removed it from packaging, the line was (I assume) inside the reel. The reel cap was attached by way of a small, light green plastic screw. The screw would turn, but never advanced out of the reel. After we got home, I tried again unsuccessfully to remove the screw. Waste of time and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Trisha from Terrible pole I bought two of these fishing poles for my twin boys, we got ready for our fishing day and gathered everything up and went out there to fish, when I went to set it up you cannot unscrew and get the top Off, the fishing line went all of the way in to the spool and now you cannot access it ... this completely ruined the experience
