Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lady Fearless Reel Sounds Like Gear Stripped We have a 1 year old Lady Fearless reel that sounds exactly like the previous review. It sounds like a gear is stripped and will not reel in. Shakespeare is a name brand associated with good quality. It seems unlike them to have a reel type that now has 2 very low ratings in reviews with the same problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Daughter loved it on the shelf... Got it home, tied a lure to it and sounds/feels like the gear is stripped. (Not drag!) what a disappointment for a $45.00 rod!!! Now I have to drive all the way back to town 45 minutes in the morning BEFORE we get to go fishing...
