Rated 2 out of 5 by Youngin from great pole slightly fragile. Bought this in july getting ready for the pink run on the puyallup river. Great pole very touchy perfect for river fishing (the 9ft medium light model) however just a few hours ago the 2 feet toward the tip FELL OFF as I set it in the back of the truck. Must just be a defective pole. Can't afford a new one. R.I.P. 2015 pink season

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ahbee3 from Great combo without a premium pricetag I purchased the 8'6" combo to go fishing for Kings and Steelies in Michigan. I've enjoyed using this setup so far and have appreciated the sensitivity of the rod. I would recommend this product to others who are looking at an inexpensive, yet capable setup for Salmon and Trout.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tony J Cox from I had my doubts I bought the 8'6 med heavy in ketchikan alaska, the salmon capitol of the world, and just yesterday slayed two 30 lb kings with 20 lb test on. They fought hard, I thought I would snap the pole. She's a beauty, but a little light for ak kings. But silvers watch out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lucky Rod from My lucky rod By far the best combo rod have ever purchased. Every time I have taken it out i have caught a fish. Its a sensitive pole. Also one of the best poles for casting, i can just flick my wrist and she flys far. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ricky bobby from Awesome pole! Especially for the price! I was given one of these by a good friend a year ago. This has been my go to pole for casting and bait fishing since. The length and quality of pole allow me to cast incredibly far. There is also something to be said about the eyelets and overall construction, seems it will last a very long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KMattel from Art of Fishing This 10.5 ft rod and spin reel are a great way to fly fish minus the extra casting needed on flyrods. A Light weight buggy whip that can fling a light lure or feather with ease and has enough back bone to hold up against strong fish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rcm3988 from Exstreamly dissapointed!! Taking a vacation to Hawaii it’s always been a dream of mine to catch a Peacock bass. Didn’t want to travel with my rods from home (fish with Gloomis, Lamiglas) and and figured I’d snag a pole from a local fishing shop in Hawaii. They recommended the wild series by Shakespeare. For the price, they believed it was the best bang for the buck.... lesson learned, 3 poles in 3 days have snapped at the center point using 3/4 ounce weight... best part, only had to cast 6 times to break all 3. If I didn’t fish 4 days a week back home in Washington I’d believe it was a user error but after the 3rd one I can honestly say it’s the product. The return lady at the local fish shop knows me by name now and couldn’t apologize enough.... always wanted to fish in Hawaii but now have missed the opportunity... I’d recommend anything else. I know this review won’t change a thing when it comes to the manufacture but I sure hope it will change someone’s else’s experience and allow them not to miss an amazing opportunity!
