Great rodI bought this pole the other day and it is extremely nice. On the reel it says it holds 195yds of 17lb test but i put on exactly 150yd of 17lb test and the reel was way to full. Once i took off about 25yd it works like a charm. Ive caught about 10 20lb+ flatheads and a couple carp and it worked great, it has an extremly smooth reel and the rod is durable. Great deal for a nice rod

Graphite for Catfishing ??I'm a pretty open minded person, but for the most part, I have trouble understanding why anyone ever, would ever want to use any type of Graphite for a Rod Blank that's meant to go after Catfish. Now to be fair, I'm not fair on Graphite, as the only graphite I let near my gear is a pencil I use when my two piece rods gets a little stuck, and that helps it slide in easier. IM6 is probably leaps and bounds ahead of the usual stuff, and I know other companies use Graphite in their rods to make them lighter, which, is fine, but using Circle Hooks and Mono only, my personal preference is some type of Fiber Glass; E-Glass, S-Glass, whatever type it may be, I like my Rods to have good Flex as that can help set a Circle Hook easier, and also I prefer the Rod to Flex instead of breaking, which is really hard for Carbon Fiber or Graphite to do. I know it's a lot lighter than other Rods for Catfishing, and I know the type they're using on this is better than the cheaper stuff, but the Rod being light isn't so much of an issue when it's sitting in a Rod Holder or a forked stick most of the time anyway.
