Shakespeare® Contender® Spinning Combos feature a wide-variety of sizes and actions targeted for Surf, Boat, Inshore, and General Purpose applications. A focus on extra durable components helps create a lineup of Contender® combos that anglers can rely on. 3 ball bearings + 1 roller bearing provide smooth reel operation and hand feel. An aluminum spool and thick stainless steel bail wire are utilized for increased strength and lightness. And the reel comes pre-spooled with Stren® line, making it easy to head straight to the water for action! For the rod, heavy-duty tubular glass blank construction and stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts provide long-lasting performance. X-Wrap rod handles increase handle durability and improve grip.
